Just a Friday family pizza night!
I adapted a basic Ooni dough recipe to use some whole wheat flour I had. The crust had a good flavor and the dough was super easy to work with — pliable, stretchy, tender — but didn’t get super crispy. Whole wheat pizza dough recipe.
We made some with a vegan pepperoni (Sweet Earth brand) which was pretty good. Flint preferred the cheese pizza, but said the fake pepperoni “wasn’t disgusting” (he did eat a whole slice with fake pepperoni).
Used fresh mozzarella (full-fat) from Whole Foods and regular pepperoni from Eataly. This dough could take a longer time in the oven without burning so the pepperoni was able to get a little charred. Stone was about 750ºF when I put it in, then turned the flame down to low. Turned it for about 5 minutes?
