First pizza attempt at Carport Pizza.
Guests: Brendon, Amanda, Marley, Miles
The adults and kids devoured this. We made two cheese pizzas and two veggie pizzas. I used the Basic Pizza Dough recipe and made it several hours before, leaving it at room temperature the whole time. The dough was VERY easy to work with and slid on and off the peel no problem. Used Rao’s pizza sauce (yum) and grated, full-fat mozzarella (not fresh). For the veggie pizza, we used mushrooms, onions, pickled jalapeños and pickled pepperoncini.
We preheated the oven for 30 minutes but we didn’t have a thermometer yet so not sure what the temp was. We all thought the bottom crusts could have been crisper, though.
Preheat the oven until the stone is 700F then reduce the flame to avoid burning the edge before the bottom is crunchy!
